Information we collect

When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, organisation, business location and the information you choose to include in your enquiry. During an engagement, we may also collect financial, operational, ownership and commercial information needed for the agreed valuation scope.

How information is collected

When you submit an enquiry form, the information is securely transmitted to our website host and email delivery provider so it can be emailed to our team. We do not store form contents in a website database. Those providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, delivery status and request logs for security and service operation.

How we use and disclose information

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess fit and conflicts, prepare scopes and quotations, deliver agreed services, maintain business records and meet legal or professional obligations. Information may be shared with professional reviewers, advisers or service providers where reasonably necessary for the agreed purpose, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements. We do not sell personal information.

Storage, security and overseas services

We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Email, cloud and website service providers may process or store information outside Australia depending on their infrastructure. Sensitive documents should not be sent through the website enquiry workflow; secure exchange arrangements will be confirmed separately.

Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, professional record-keeping, dispute management and applicable legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified where practicable.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing hello@vals.au. Please provide enough detail for us to identify the relevant information or issue. We will respond within a reasonable period.
